Level 4 Apprenticeship
DevOps Engineer - Level 4
Bridge development and operations with modern DevOps practices. Learn automation, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure management on real enterprise projects.
Apprenticeships
A DevOps Engineer Apprenticeship is a key progression into becoming a DevOps Engineer. This will require the dedication of 18-24 months of a learner's time, which should be considered when you apply.
A DevOps Engineer Apprenticeship will see you working for a business, performing DevOps Engineer services for them such as getting valuable working software out in front of active users, both external and internal, frequently and safely, reducing time to market, delivering increased value - both with respect to the end-user and the business - and improving the quality of digital services.
As well as dedicated days of learning at the college, you are effectively being taught how to be a DevOps Engineer through practical experience in the workplace and through lessons provided by the college by tutors.
As an Apprentice, you are paid for the work you are doing and how much is dependent on your employer.
Typical Jobs you can apply for:
-
Automation engineer
-
Build & release engineer
-
Deployment engineer
-
DevOps engineer
-
Full stack developer

As this is a level 4 Apprenticeship, you are able to learn while you earn and can negotiate your wage up to £18,000 per year.
One-to-one Support
You will have a Tutor/Skills Coach (SC) and a Digital Programme Coordinator (DPC) assigned to support you throughout your apprenticeship.
DPC will contact you every other week to discuss your progress about Knowledge module training progress to check whether you are understanding the training and also discuss about your work placement opportunities to gather evidence for your Summative portfolio.
The Skill coach will work with you to develop your portfolio of evidence for End Point Assessment. He / She will support you to gather evidence for various workplace projects.
We will set up an action plan with SMART targets for you to complete, so that you can progress your apprenticeship smoothly and achieve your apprenticeship as LVC planned.
